Your PCS move-out cleaning checklist
A room-by-room list of what most housing offices and landlords check at final walkthrough — save it, print it, or just work through it here.
A PCS move-out clean is done on an empty home with the utilities still connected. Those two conditions cause more reschedules than anything else.
The scope covers every deep-clean task plus the empty-home work: fridge, cabinet and drawer interiors, empty closets and shelves, and accessible garage sweeping. Pricing starts at $255 for up to 1,000 sq ft.
Book as early as you have a date. Report dates and lease ends cluster at the end of the month, which is when availability is tightest.

Every housing office and landlord checklist looks a little different, so treat this as a strong starting point, not a substitute for your specific move-out paperwork. Kitchen
- Inside and outside of the oven and stovetop
- Inside the refrigerator and freezer (empty and unplugged if vacant)
- Inside microwave, all cabinets, and drawers
- Countertops, backsplash, and sink
Bathrooms
- Tub, shower, and grout scrubbed
- Toilet, including base and behind
- Mirrors, vanity, and cabinets inside and out
Every room
- Baseboards and door frames wiped down
- Closets emptied and wiped, including shelving
- Reachable interior window glass, sills and tracks
- Light fixtures and ceiling fans dusted
- Floors vacuumed and mopped throughout
- Vents and air returns wiped free of dust
Garage and outdoor (if applicable)
- Garage swept clear of debris
- Patio or porch cleared and swept
Timing tip: peak PCS season runs mid-May through August, and cleaning appointments fill up fast in that window. If your report date or lease end is set, it's worth booking your move-out clean as early as you can.
