SEASONAL RESET

Spring cleaning.

After a Front Range heating season, a house needs more than a standard visit. Here's what that actually means.

THE HONEST VERSION

What spring cleaning really is

There's no separate service called spring cleaning on our price list, and we'd rather be straight about that than invent one. What people mean by it is a deep clean: a seasonal reset that goes past maintenance and removes what a winter deposited.

A deep clean includes everything in the standard scope. It adds oven and microwave interiors, hand-washed reachable baseboards and trim, detailed kitchen and bathroom surfaces, and reachable interior window glass, sills and tracks. Those last two are the ones that make a house feel different in April.

Why it matters more up here

A Colorado heating season is long, dry and closed-up. Homes run heat for months with the windows shut, and humidity stays low. Dust stays airborne longer than it does in wetter climates, so it settles on vertical surfaces and window glass as well as horizontal ones.

Add a wood stove and the picture changes again. Fine ash escapes every time the door opens, travels further than people expect, and works into trim and baseboards over a season. Homes in Woodland Park, Divide, Florissant and Black Forest show this most clearly, and it's covered in why mountain homes get dusty faster.

Then mud season arrives, which is its own event on any property with an unpaved approach.

What it costs and when to book

Deep cleaning by size band:

  • Up to 1,000 sq ft: $220
  • 1,251–1,500 sq ft: $280
  • 1,751–2,000 sq ft: $335
  • 2,251–2,500 sq ft: $390
  • 2,751–3,000 sq ft: $445
  • 3,251–3,500 sq ft: $505

Prices step every 250 sq ft, up to 4,500 sq ft. See the full price list.

Deep Cleaning includes hand-washed baseboards and reachable interior window glass, sills and tracks. Detailed blind hand wiping is optional at $40 per group of up to three standard units; empty fridge and cabinet interiors are also optional.

On timing, the useful advice is to book earlier than April. Spring is the busiest stretch of the year for this work and the good dates go first. Late March through May is the window most people want.

The pattern that works

One deep clean in spring to reset the house, then recurring standard visits to hold it through summer. That works out cheaper across a year than a series of one-off cleans, because recurring visits are priced below one-time visits from visit two.

Recurring visits are priced below one-time visits from visit two. For a 1,751–2,000 sq ft home that's $335 for the spring reset, then $205 every two weeks or $250 every four weeks after. No long-term contract is required.

A few helpful answers

Do you offer a separate spring cleaning package?

Not as a separate line item. What people mean by spring cleaning is our deep cleaning service, which adds oven and microwave interiors, hand-washed reachable baseboards and trim, detailed kitchen and bathroom surfaces and reachable interior window glass, sills and tracks to the standard scope.

When should I book spring cleaning?

Earlier than you think. Late March through May is the busiest stretch of the year for this work, so the preferred dates fill first. Booking several weeks ahead gives you a real choice of dates.

Are windows included?

Reachable interior window glass, sills and tracks are included in Deep Cleaning. Exterior or high-access glass, screens, and paint, adhesive or hard-water restoration require a specialty quote.

This company was very professional, reliable and quality was great. I needed an emergency job done and they were able to get it done no problem while meeting all standards required. I would definitely recommend Everpine Cleaning!
